Beloved Crane professor emeritus passes away

Brock McElheran, who established an international reputation as a choral conductor and taught thousands of choral and instrumental conductors during a 40-year career, died on Tuesday, Sept. 23, at his home in Potsdam, NY. He was 90, and was professor emeritus and senior fellow at SUNY Potsdam's Crane School of Music.

Newman passed away at age 83 in his Connecticut home after a long battle with cancer. In his prime, Paul Newman had a striking physical presence, with a rugged physique and piercing blue eyes.
