Bearstock began at noon Saturday, May 3, with a performance by the Potsdam Pointercounts. The A Sharp Arrangement, the Potsdam Pitches, Elise Haley, Destination Earth, The Tryloves, and The Collective Funtime Band also performed at the event, which lasted until 5:00 p.m. Student Entertainment President Rob Carita had been in charge of finding the performers for Bearstock, and SES members ran the sound for the event.
Residence Life staff of Lehman barbecued food and provided snacks and drinks throughout the day. Shirt tie-dying and face painting were available by Houses 2 and 3 of Lehman North. An inflated battle-castle and an inflated Twister were available behind Houses 8 and 9. Inside the quad, students played badminton, tossed around sports balls, threw Frisbees, gathered with friends at the picnic benches, and sunbathed on towels on the ground, enjoying the hot day and working on tans (or burns).
The next day, Residence Life staff hosted Knowlestock. Because of the threat of rain all day, the performances were located in the Knowles Multi-Purpose Room. Residence Life staff barbecued food throughout the day outside, under the overhang of a Knowles entrance, and served the food inside. Doug Campbell and Alison Chiasson, the Potsdam Pointercounts, the Potsdam Swing Band, the A Sharp Arrangement, the Potsdam Pitches, and Cities Over Seas performed at this event, while SES ran sound.
