When submitting funding requests, students should be aware they will have to attend the Senate and Assembly meetings at which their bill will be discussed and be prepared to answer questions pertaining to the benefit to the SUNY Potsdam campus of such an expenditure.

According to SGA's Financial Policies and Procedures, the Program Fund is available only to SGA recognized, non-budgeted organizations. For example, environmental student group Middle Ground has a bill that will have been determined on Dec. 4 requesting funds from the Program line for a re-usable water bottle program, which will provide students with stainless steel water bottles to reduce purchases of bottled water. The supplemental line is available only to SGA budgeted organizations, which, for example, may need to request funds for trips to conferences. The Equipment Replacement Fund is for the purchase or repair of the equipment of organizations. SES has a bill to be decided this week, that Senate amended to $11,000, requesting funds to replace the furniture in Hurley's Nightclub.
