6:00- Knowles MPR; an empty room. Though, the air holds a certain tension, one that only wanders around… MURDER!

6:20- People start filling into the room, taking seats at the tables, which were elegantly set up. Murder is still in the air.

6:35- Six people stand at the podium in the center of the room. One of them, a certain Dr. Letchworth Allsweet, welcomes us to the Stella Maris Holistic Health and Spiritual Retreat Center in wonderful Pratt Falls, New York. He introduces the guests to the five other people who help him run the center. These people are a comical mismatch of doctors, secretaries, managers, and psychics. Murder is still very much in the air.

6:45- The employees walk throughout the crowd, answering questions attendees ask them. All of the employees seem to have a cynical wit about them, and they all have conflicting views on the best way to heal someone. They also give clues on relationships that happen inside the center between the employees (It turns out a certain Dr. Allsweet is quite the womanizer). Murder? Yep… Still there.

7:15- The employees go back to the center of the room for a toast to the guests and to the Center as a whole. After the toast Dr. Allsweet starts to give a speech, but falls ill and collapses. Murder! Its no longer in the air; it's on the floor.

7:25: After escorting the doctor downstairs, the rest of the employees let the guests ask them questions to see if they can get clues about who the murder is. A history of womanizing comes out of these conversations and questions. Also it seems like every employee has a motive to kill the good doctor. Then they all retreat downstairs to check up on the victim and the rest of the guests are left to dine.

The Dinner Murder Company of Grasse River Community Players did a wonderful job of making the night fun and entertaining. All of the characters were charming, hilarious, and mysteriously diabolical. They made it so there was no given away to who the actual killer was, and so that each one would have something to gain from killing the doctor.

Audience interaction was a huge part of the performance and all the actors handled our questions with much wit. Even when people asked questions with the main intention to stump them, the responses were still on mark.

PACES did a great job of catering the event. They brought out delicious food in buffet style that included salad, ravioli, carrots, roasted potatoes, and herb roasted chicken.

In the end, the "killer" was the doctor's secretary who was jealous of his womanizing ways. The people that guessed the correct killer were also entered in a raffle for a fifty-dollar gift card from Potsdam Chamber of Commerce. Senior Vince Cerasoli said, " I had a great time!" It was hard not to, especially when Murder Mysteries and Food are brought together in perfect harmony.
