Hey everybody! I've gotten word that some students are reading my column. HOORAY! I'm going to touch on a number of subjects this week. I'll start of with the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Ah, just what Gary Betman has been waiting for: a playoff series with two of the games youngest talent. Alexander Ovechkin and Sidney Crosby have been putting on a clinic on how to play hockey in the playoffs. In game two they had six goals combined, with each of them putting the biscuit in the net 3 times. "The Great 8" as some have begun to call Mr. Ovechkin and the caps did manage to take the game, but boy was it interesting.

Let me throw this out there: I am not a big fan of Sidney Crosby. In my mind he's a sour puss, pretty boy and in the words of the great Arnold Schwarzenegger "a girly man". I just don't like him and I'm happy to see that Ovie is putting him back in his place. Sid you've got to grow some kahones, put some hair on your chest and stop prancing around on the ice like a little girl. Hit somebody for Christ's sake.

On the other hand I'm a fan of Ovechkin. He plays the game right and he gets under the skin of Sid the Kid. Keep it up Ovie.

Alright, onto baseball. The Yankees. They always seem to amaze me somehow. So their game against Boston on Monday night was cancelled for about an hour due to rain. All the fans left the stadium and hung out in the parking lot, drinking their sorrows away. And then Yanks decided to un-cancel the game. "OMG!" said one Yankee fan. The fans rushed back to the gates to get back in only to find a surprise waiting for them. The security was ordered to not let them back into the stadium. HAHAHAHA. Oh you Yankees, I just cant get enough of your crazy antics.

On a somewhat serious note, the Dallas Cowboys training camp complex collapsed last week due to high winds. Rich Behm, a scouting assistant of the team, was struck by a pole and paralyzed from the waist down. My best wishes go out to Rich Behm and his family but not so much the Cowboys. Good luck this year guys.

And Brett Favre may be coming back to play football again. Way to go Brett, you hurt me when you did what you did with my Jets. It was hard to watch you play those last couple of games, but hell, if you wanna go play in Minnesota, go for it. "Hey Purple People Eaters, hope you're ready for a last season collapse! Love, Jets fans all over New York". Enjoy him.

Well, finals week is just around the corner, wish everyone the best of luck. This will be my last column of the semester, enjoy it if you please. Have great summer everyone.
