The Wolfman, directed by Joe Johnston, was finally released in the U.S. on February 12, 2010, after several delays. A remake of the original 1941 horror flick by the same title, the film follows Lawrence Talbot (Benicio Del Toro) who returns to his home in Blackmoor upon learning of his brother's strange death. After seeing his brother's mangled remains and paying his respects to his recently widowed sister-in-law, the lady Conliffe (Emily Blunt), Lawrence vows to not rest until he finds the deranged being who killed his brother. However, the monster that Lawrence seeks turns out to be much more dangerous than he could have ever imagined.

Though feeling a bit rushed and underdeveloped in the beginning, The Wolfman soon overcomes this and draws the viewer into the darkness of Blackmoor. Playing on family relationships, unconventional love, and a man's tortured soul, the film explores a deeper side not often seen in slashers of its type.

The film boasts a strong supporting cast including Anthony Hopkins (Sir John Talbot) and Hugo Weaving (Abberline and "Mr. Smith" from The Matrix trilogy). The Wolfman will keep you at the edge of your seat! Playing at the Roxy Theater in Potsdam and the American Theater in Canton, it's a must see for the coming full moon!
