Anthony Williams, Jr. (Brentwood/Upper Room Christian) fought off visiting Geneseo 68-66 on Saturday afternoon at Jerry Welsh Gymnasium in the Bears' season finale.

Williams, Jr. scored 18 points, grabbed six rebounds and dished out six assists in his final game as a Bear. Ben Walker (New Smyra Beach, FL/North Country CC) had 13 points.

Kyle Stevens led Geneseo with 26 points.

Both teams were close in the first half but a 23-8 Knight run spanning over 13 minutes gave them a nine point lead at 2:07. Geneseo went into halftime up 38-31.

Geneseo would have the lead to start the second half, but the Bears would go on a 16-6 run, and go up by three at 8:37. The Knights would regain the lead briefly, and the score would be tied four times until they would go ahead by one at 1:25. Eddie Cross would then find Williams, Jr. at the top of the key, and he nailed the three-point basket to give the Bears the two point advantage. The Knights had a chance to win the game with the final shot, but Ethan Estabrooks' three-point attempt fell short and the Bears came away with the victory.
